With 20 years as an experienced speaker and trainer in Diversity, Equity and disability Inclusion, Janae shares her life lessons with the power of storytelling as an opportunity for innovation. Her creativity and resilience of being both hearing impaired and blind is limitless.

 

Janae Miller has spent her entire life legally blind until she was 20 when she became totally blind. She was also born with a substantial hearing loss.

With 20 years as an experienced speaker and trainer in Diversity, Equity and Disability Inclusion, Janae shares her life lessons with the power of storytelling as an opportunity for innovation. Her creativity and resilience of being both hearing impaired and blind is limitless.

She has a bachelor’s degree in Communications and a minor in Sociology from Wright State University committed to social change. Her passion is making a world that is considerate and inclusive when it comes to working, hiring, and training those with various disabilities.

Throughout her career she has been on many boards and committees tasked with tackling issues in the area of diversity equity and inclusion for government, Corporate and Non-For-Profit organizations. She actively works and sings with the Harmony project, a local non-for-profit in her community that is committed to bringing all different types of people together.  The Harmony project mission happens “When Artistic Passion Meets Social Purpose” and their voice is heard through a 500 member choir.
