"Rooted in communal psychology and embodied presence, her work centers on healing racialized and structural trauma, promoting an inclusive and compassionate society."

Malia Wright-Merer is a dedicated facilitator, with a strong focus on diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility. She has been a Disability Inclusion, Windmills Trainer for 8 years and the author of new Trauma-Informed materials at MWA. Rooted in communal psychology and embodied presence, her work centers on healing racialized and structural trauma, promoting an inclusive and compassionate society.

Having grown up in an environment that nurtured the belief in people and recognized the importance of breaking down societal barriers, Malia carries these values into her work as a facilitator. Her diverse journey, ranging from Acting to Yoga, Mindfulness, and Ayurveda, has shaped her multidimensional approach to healing and self-discovery.

Drawing from her studies in Integrative Somatic Trauma Healing, Malia provides workshops and coaching that encourage emotional processing and engagement. Her trauma-informed leadership trainings and executive coaching empower individuals, organizations and corporations to challenge oppressive systems and envision new ways of conducting business and being in community.

Malia's workshops create safe spaces for individuals to process emotions, challenge assumptions, and uncover intergenerational and cultural trauma. Her work with corporations offers systemic healing, addressing cultural and systemic trauma related to ableism, racism, sexism, and more.

With a gentle and compassionate approach, Malia facilitates breakthroughs and realizations, guiding people through discomfort and joy, while fostering transformative growth in the "in between" spaces.
